Charles Aznavour Square, Pedestrian square in Kentron District, Yerevan, Armenia.

Charles Aznavour Square is a public plaza in central Yerevan with the Moscow Cinema and Grand Hotel Yerevan as its main landmarks. The square serves as a junction point where several streets meet and from which you can reach restaurants, hotels, and entertainment venues.

The square took its name in 2001 during Armenia's independence celebrations, honoring French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour and his influence on international music. This naming came after Soviet rule ended, as Armenia redefined its cultural identity.

The square serves as a meeting point for performers and artists thanks to the theaters and art institutions nearby. You can sense the creative energy of the city here, with artists and musicians regularly passing through this part of town.

The square is easy to navigate and well-connected to nearby streets including Abovyan Street. You will find many dining and relaxation spots around it, which makes it convenient for spending time in the area.

This location once housed the Yerevan Vernissage, an open-air market where local artisans and artists displayed handcrafted goods and artwork for sale. The market was popular among visitors and known for bringing traditional Armenian craftsmanship directly to life.
