Autódromo Internacional de Codegua, race track in Codehua, Chile
The Autódromo Internacional de Codegua is a racing track in the O'Higgins region, about 45 minutes south of Santiago. The track stretches over 4 kilometers with 14 turns and combines tight corners with long straightaways to challenge drivers in different racing formats.
The track was built starting in 2012 and opened in May 2014 after local entrepreneurs developed the site south of Santiago. Since then, it has hosted national and regional racing series including the Argentine Súper TC 2000.
The name Codegua comes from Mapuche language and means "place of war". During race days, visitors can experience how local drivers and fans gather here to share their passion for motorsport and celebrate their region's racing culture.
The track sits just off Highway 5, about 45 minutes from Santiago airport and is easily reached by car. On race days, arriving early is wise since parking areas fill quickly and the facility has limited amenities, so plan food and drink accordingly.
The track sometimes opens for private driving experiences where motorsport enthusiasts can take their own vehicles onto the circuit. This makes it appealing not just for spectators but also for drivers wanting to test their skills on a professional course.
