Torre Begonias, Office tower in San Isidro, Peru.
Torre Begonias is an office building in San Isidro located on Avenida Paseo de la República with 26 stories above ground and 7 basement levels. The structure houses multiple company floors and includes a cafeteria, bicycle parking with 72 spaces, and central climate control throughout.
Construction began in January 2011 under Constructora Aesa and used 3,300 tons of steel and 36,130 cubic meters of concrete. The project was completed in 2013, adding a contemporary office presence to the San Isidro district.
Seven sculptures from the 'Seeds' series by Peruvian artist Jaime Miranda Bambarén occupy the lobby space. These artworks create a dialogue with the '13 Moons' installation and give visitors and workers a moment to encounter contemporary art.
The building's four light-facing sides allow natural light to enter most office spaces throughout the day. The main lobby is easily accessible and provides a good starting point for navigating the different company floors.
The curtain wall system covers more than 15,800 square meters and works to maximize natural light while managing heat gain. This approach to the exterior skin shows how the building balances openness with thermal efficiency.
