Rosario-Córdoba Highway, highway in Argentina
The Rosario-Córdoba Highway is a main road in Argentina connecting two major cities and stretching about 410 kilometers (255 miles) through flat land and small towns. The road is well-maintained, wide, and mostly straight with clear markings and signs to guide drivers safely.
The highway opened to the public in late 2010 as a major construction project costing around 1.6 billion US dollars. It significantly shortened travel time between Rosario and Córdoba and has become a key part of Argentina's national road system.
Drive on the right side of the road and maintain the speed limit of 120 km/h (75 mph), watching for speed signs along the route. Service areas and rest stops are available where you can refuel and take breaks, especially useful on longer drives.
The road runs through one of Argentina's largest agricultural regions where you can see vast soy and corn fields along the way. In early mornings you can watch heavy trucks loaded with produce using the route in both directions to reach markets and ports.
