Convento de San Felipe de Neri

The colonial building features a large inner courtyard surrounded by stone corridors and contains a single nave divided into four sections.

The construction of this religious complex began in 1795 under the direction of Friar Antonio de San José Alberto and reached completion in 1800.

The convent holds numerous paintings from 18th and 19th-century neoclassical artists and maintains a crypt where notable colonial figures rest.

Visitors can access the convent at Nicolas Ortiz Street 165 from Monday to Friday between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Stone meditation seats remain on the rooftop terrace, offering views of Sucre's white colonial buildings and red-tiled roofs across the city.
