Mundo Novo

Mundo Novo is a municipality in the southernmost part of Mato Grosso do Sul, positioned right at the border between Brazil and Paraguay. The town sits on flat to gently rolling land that supports farming and cattle raising as the main economic activities.

The municipality was officially founded in 1973 as part of an administrative reorganization in Mato Grosso do Sul. Its creation came during a period of expansion in Brazil's southern regions and increased administrative division of border areas.

The residents of Mundo Novo, known as mundo-novenses, maintain connections with neighboring communities through regional trade and social interactions across state boundaries.

The town is easily accessible by road connections that link it to other municipalities and cities in the region. The best time to visit is between April and September when weather conditions are drier and milder.
