Santa Helena extends along the Itaipu Lake shores at 239 meters elevation, covering an area of 758 square kilometers in western Paraná state.
The region holds nine archaeological sites containing evidence of indigenous settlements, including underground dwellings built by ceramic-making cultures 4,000 years ago.
The municipality maintains strong agricultural traditions while organizing fishing tournaments, particularly the Tucunaré Sport Fishing Tournament drawing 300 competing teams annually.
Visitors access the city through PR-497, PR-495, PR-488, and PR-317 highways, with accommodations offering 500 hotel beds and camping areas for 3,000 people.
The Cristo Esplendor monument, standing 12 meters tall since 2004, marks the starting point of the 65-kilometer Faith Route connecting religious monuments across different cities.
