The park was established in 1994 by veterinarian Anna and entrepreneur Dennis after their experience with bird conservation began in Zimbabwe during the 1970s.
The park maintains records of 107 endangered bird species and leads conservation initiatives focused on protecting the Atlantic Forest's native bird populations.
Located near Iguaçu Falls, the park welcomes visitors daily from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with entrance fees of 45 Brazilian reals for adults.
Parrots Island features a collection of rescued parrots in a free-flight environment, where biologists educate visitors about wildlife protection.
