Reserva natural estricta San Antonio, Nature reserve in Misiones, Argentina
The San Antonio Strict Nature Reserve encompasses 450 hectares of protected land, featuring Parana pine forests and dense vegetation at 560 meters above sea level.
The reserve was established on October 10, 1990, through decree 2148/1990, on land previously managed by the National Forestry Institute of Argentina.
The reserve contributes to scientific research about the Parana pine ecosystem, supporting studies of native species and environmental monitoring programs.
Access to the reserve is limited to authorized scientific activities, with entry permits obtained through the National Parks Administration of Argentina.
The reserve experiences a tropical climate without dry seasons, receiving between 2500 to 3000 millimeters of annual rainfall with temperatures ranging from 14.5°C to 26°C.
