Manor of the Marquesa de Santos, Historic manor and museum in São Paulo, Brazil.
The Manor of the Marquesa de Santos features rammed earth walls, neoclassical façade and two floors containing original architectural elements from the 18th century.
Between 1834 and 1867, this residence belonged to Domitila de Castro, who purchased it after ending her relationship with Emperor Pedro I of Brazil.
The building operates as the City Museum of São Paulo, presenting exhibitions about urban life and organizing educational visits for students and general public.
The manor opens Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with direct access from Sé metro station on Roberto Simonsen Street, 136.
This manor represents the last remaining example of 18th-century urban residential architecture in central São Paulo, preserving elements from multiple construction periods.
