The Caixa Cultural building spans 17,000 square meters across multiple floors, featuring exhibition spaces, reading rooms, workshop areas, and an auditorium.
The center occupies the Sé Building, constructed in 1939 as the regional headquarters of Caixa Econômica Federal during the presidency of Getúlio Vargas.
The institution maintains a permanent schedule of dance performances, theater productions, concerts, debates, and visual arts exhibitions throughout the year.
Located near public transportation, the cultural center provides free admission to many exhibitions and operates from Tuesday through Sunday.
The museum collection contains 5,200 items documenting Brazil's financial system, including original documents from Caixa's establishment in 1875.
