Senador Camará

Senador Camará is an administrative district in Rio de Janeiro's West Zone, featuring residential neighborhoods divided by a railway line that runs through the middle. The area is bordered by Santa Cruz Avenue, which serves as a major boundary and connects different parts of the district.

The district takes its name from Senator Otacílio de Carvalho Camará, who served in Brazil's Senate in the early 1900s. This naming reflects political connections that shaped the area's early establishment.
