Colônia Juliano Moreira

Colônia Juliano Moreira is a psychiatric hospital located on an expansive site in Curicica, Rio de Janeiro. The grounds contain several historic buildings, residential areas, and medical care facilities spread across the property.

The property began as a sugar mill in the 18th century before becoming a federal psychiatric facility in the early 1900s. Municipal management took over in 2000 and continues today.
