Academia de Comércio de Juiz de Fora is an educational building with neoclassical design in the city. The façade features symmetrical proportions with grand columns along Halfeld Street and contains multiple classrooms, a chapel, and a theater space.

The Academia de Comércio was founded on 30 March 1891 by the businessman Francisco Batista de Oliveira, with teaching modelled on the Paris School of Higher Commercial Studies. Its still unfinished headquarters opened on 24 July 1894, but technical and administrative problems ended the school's use of the building in 1901, when it was handed to the Congregation of the Divine Word.

The name Academia de Comércio survives on a building that has housed the Colégio Cristo Redentor since 1901, when the Congregação do Verbo Divino took it over and ran new courses there. The school's name refers to Christ the Redeemer, the mission the Divine Word missionaries gave the former commercial academy.

The building sits on Halfeld Street, a central location in the city that is easy to reach on foot. It is visible and accessible from the street, allowing visitors to view its architectural style without difficulty.

The building's inauguration on 24 July 1894 took place while its headquarters were still unfinished.
