Francisco Schmidt coffee museum

Francisco Schmidt Coffee Museum displays machines, mills, and different types of coffee beans that show how people produced and processed coffee in this region. The exhibition follows the complete journey from harvest to the finished product.

The museum was founded in 1950 and sits in a former farmhouse that belonged to a family made wealthy by coffee. Its collection preserves objects and documents that tell the story of immigrants and coffee farmers who shaped the region.

The exhibits show how coffee shaped the economy and social life of Ribeirão Preto and gave the city its identity. You can see how coffee farming changed the region and its people over many generations.
