Church of Our Lady of the Good Death

The Church of Our Lady of the Good Death features octagonal architecture, clay tile roofs, and exterior walls adorned with floral elements and volutes.

Built in 1779 on the site of Goiás discoverer's house, the church suffered a fire in 1921 that destroyed its main altar and sacred images.

The Sacred Art Museum, established in 1969, exhibits 1000 religious artifacts including silverware, furniture, sculptures, and paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The building maintains good preservation standards and offers barrier-free access for visitors who want to explore its religious art collection.

The church bronze bell, cast in the city in 1785, stands in an original wooden structure outside the main building.
