Farol da Barra Beach

Farol da Barra Beach is a stretch of sand along Salvador's coastline featuring white sand and clear waters with natural rock pools that form at low tide. The surrounding area includes restaurants, hotels, and a bike path that runs alongside the shore.

The lighthouse standing next to this beach was built in 1698 and ranks among the oldest in the Americas. It has guided vessels through the Bay of All Saints for more than 3 centuries.
