Canto do Buriti

The municipality extends over 4,325 square kilometers of land in northeastern Brazil, with a population of 21,258 residents at an elevation of 408 meters.

The Serra das Confusões National Park, established in 1998, preserves 823,843 hectares of natural territory within the boundaries of Canto do Buriti municipality.

Local residents, known as canto-buritienses, maintain regional traditions through community gatherings, festivals, and traditional northeastern Brazilian celebrations throughout the year.

The municipal administration center operates from Praça Santana 517, providing essential services and information for residents and visitors during regular business hours.

The Capivara-Confusões Ecological Corridor connects two national parks through Canto do Buriti, protecting native Caatinga biome species and their natural habitats.
