Oficina Brennand

Oficina Brennand is a ceramic art museum in Recife housed within a former brick and tile factory, displaying thousands of ceramic sculptures and installations throughout multiple exhibition halls. The collection spans diverse works created across different periods and techniques.

Artist Francisco Brennand repurposed an abandoned ceramics factory from the 1940s and transformed it into an art museum that opened to the public in 1971. The industrial building became a center for artistic creation and exhibition.

The studio displays ceramic works that blend Brazilian and European traditions, reflecting the founder's artistic education in France and shaping the collection's character. This mixture makes the place where different artistic worlds come together.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and is accessible by public transportation from the city center. Plan for several hours to explore the multiple exhibition spaces and the outdoor gallery areas.
