Sítio Trindade

Sítio Trindade is a colonial-era monument located on elevated terrain in Casa Amarela, combining traditional architectural elements with extensive gardens across protected land. The grounds span several acres and display construction styles from different periods of occupation.

The site functioned as Fort Arraial do Bom Jesus during the 17th century Dutch invasion, serving as a defensive stronghold against foreign occupation. Following the end of the occupation, local families took control and developed the land into a residential property.

The property was held by the Trindade Paretti family for generations, who took ownership after the colonial period and shaped how the place was used and remembered. Their stewardship made this site meaningful to the community as a record of local continuity and family heritage.

The site sits on elevated terrain and is best explored with a guide, as structures are spread across a larger area. Visitors should wear proper footwear since the ground is uneven and historical buildings are distributed across multiple levels.

The site preserves colonial-era fortification structures that provide physical evidence of Brazilian resistance against the Dutch occupation. These defensive works remain visible and demonstrate the military engineering techniques used to protect the settlement.
