The church features a neoclassical interior design with dark stone powder coating on its exterior walls and seven stained glass windows along its sides.
Construction of the chapel began on September 18, 1716, on land donated by Eusebio de Oliveira Monteiro and his wife Maria da Cunha Fonseca.
The seven lateral stained glass windows depict the Seven Sorrows of Mary, while the main altar honors Our Lady of Solitude with four additional side altars.
Located at Avenida Oliveira Lima 1029, the church holds regular masses and offers confession services before each celebration throughout the week.
The parish has maintained the tradition of celebrating the Círio de Nazaré of Recife since 1940, marking an important annual religious event.
