Olimo, Bus rapid transit station in Jakarta, Indonesia
Olimo is a stop on the Transjakarta bus network in Jakarta, Indonesia, located at the junction of Hayam Wuruk and Mangga Besar streets. It has covered waiting areas and electronic access gates that manage the flow of passengers.
The stop was originally named Olimo after N.V. Olimo, an importer of car accessories, spare parts, lubricants, body paint and varnish founded in 1914, whose head office stood just south of the stop until it was demolished in the 1990s. Transjakarta later treated the name as a corporate one and renamed the stop Taman Sari as part of neutralising stop names for official naming rights. It was closed for maintenance from 31 October 2022 and reopened on 14 March 2023.
The stop was originally named Olimo after N.V. Olimo, an importer of car accessories, spare parts, lubricants, body paint and varnish founded in 1914, whose head office stood just south of the stop. The firm went bankrupt and its building was demolished around the 1990s, but "Olimo" remained the popular name for the area. Transjakarta later renamed the stop Taman Sari, after the kecamatan, as part of neutralising corporate names for official naming rights.
The stop sits at the corner of Jalan Hayam Wuruk and Jalan Mangga Besar in Mangga Besar, Taman Sari, West Jakarta, on Corridor 1. It was closed for maintenance and repairs from 31 October 2022 and reopened on 14 March 2023. On 1 April 2024 the road nearby subsided, halting and diverting services between Harmoni and Glodok.
