Magic Art 3D Museum Jakarta, Interactive 3D art museum in Pinangsia, Jakarta, Indonesia
The Magic Art 3D Museum is an interactive art venue divided into 17 different zones with over 100 photo spots throughout. The painted works cover both walls and floors, creating optical illusions designed to be captured in photographs.
The museum opened in 2018 and brought a modern Korean art concept to Jakarta's older Kota Tua district. This introduction of a new art format marked a shift in how spaces in this historic neighborhood began to be used.
The murals were created through collaboration between Indonesian and Korean artists who spent four months painting over 100 artworks by hand. These pieces are designed so visitors can interact with them and take their own photographs.
The venue includes specialized areas like the Glass Maze, Laser Room, and Ames Room, each offering different visual experiences. It helps to wear comfortable clothes and allow time to explore each zone to make the most of the photo opportunities.
The Animal and Dinosaur sections use three-dimensional painting perspective to make creatures appear alive, which visitors can touch and pose with. This painting style creates unexpected depth that flat artwork usually does not provide.
