Coblong

Coblong is an administrative district in Bandung comprising six neighborhoods: Dago, Cipaganti, Lebak Gede, Sadang Serang, Sekeloa, and Lebak Siliwangi. The area sits at 771 meters elevation, making it one of the higher sections of the city.

Following Indonesian independence in 1945, Coblong developed as a residential district within Bandung. The district's formation was part of the wider regional growth of West Java during the early years of the republic.

The Cipaganti neighborhood showcases traditional Sundanese cooking practices on its local markets, where visitors can watch daily food preparation methods. Sadang Serang complements this with regular gatherings where residents meet and spend time together in the community.

The district is relatively easy to navigate on foot, with the higher elevation creating a cooler climate compared to lower parts of the city. Visitors should keep in mind that some areas may have steep paths and sturdy footwear is advisable.

The Lebak Siliwangi area features expansive green spaces where residents engage in morning exercise sessions and weekend recreational activities throughout the year. This daily practice shows how parks in this neighborhood serve as natural gathering points for physical activity.
