Jim Stynes Bridge, Suspension bridge in Docklands, Australia.
The 120-meter steel structure extends over the Yarra River, providing a link between Melbourne central business district and Docklands precinct.
The State Government of Victoria and Melbourne City Council initiated this infrastructure project, which opened to the public in June 2014.
Named after an Irish-born Australian rules football player, the bridge features bronze plaques commemorating Jim Stynes' contributions to sports and community.
The structure accommodates both pedestrians and cyclists, creating a direct connection that reduces travel time between Melbourne's key urban areas.
The bridge structure touches the river at only two points across its length, minimizing interference with water flow during flood events.
