Camden Park Estate

Camden Park Estate is a farm in New South Wales comprising colonial-era buildings, working agricultural fields, and planted gardens arranged across pastoral property. The layout preserves structures and spaces that show how farming and country living were organized during that historical period.

John Macarthur founded Camden Park in 1805 using land grants and developed it into a center for wool production and farming advances. The early growth of the estate made it an important hub for colonial agricultural progress.

The gardens show how wealthy families of the 1800s arranged their estates, with plant collections that reflect their tastes and interests of that era. Walking through them today reveals how these early plantings shaped the character of the place.
