Menai, Administrative division in Sutherland Shire Council, Australia.
Menai is a suburb in southern Sydney, situated about 29 kilometers from the city center and positioned at an elevation of 116 meters. The area spreads across residential neighborhoods with multiple schools serving families across different age groups.
The area was originally called Bangor but was renamed Menai in 1910 to avoid confusion with a similarly named location in Tasmania. This change reflected the Welsh heritage of the region.

The suburb has several schools including Menai Primary School, Aquinas College, and Holy Family Primary School serving different grade levels. Visitors can explore the area on foot and find local services and facilities throughout the neighborhood.
The area maintains one of the highest home ownership rates in Australia, with more than 81 percent of homes owned by their residents. This high rate reflects the stable and established residential character of the community.
