North Sydney Technical High School

The former technical school building constructed from Hawkesbury sandstone features Gothic Revival architecture with a bell tower at 36 Blue Street.

The school operated from 1876 until 1969, starting as St Peters Presbyterian School before transitioning into a state-run technical education institution.

Former students and teachers maintain connections through The Old Lions association, which organizes gatherings and distributes educational awards.

The structure now functions as the Greenwood Hotel, preserving the historical architecture while serving as a modern hospitality venue.

The bell tower of the school became a defining architectural element of the lower North Shore area during the late nineteenth century.
