Holt-Bragg Bridge

The Holt-Bragg Bridge crosses Piles Creek and carries the Old Pacific Highway B83 through the Central Coast region of New South Wales. The structure connects towns along the coastal route and forms part of the highway network serving the area.

An earlier bridge at this location collapsed in 2007 during severe storms. The current structure was built afterward to provide a safer passage across the creek.

Bronze memorial plaques at each end commemorate family members who died in a tragic accident. These monuments serve as a place where people can pause and reflect on a significant local event.

The bridge carries regular traffic between larger towns and is used by many vehicles daily. Visitors should expect active traffic, particularly during peak hours.

Following the collapse, an investigation revealed maintenance failures that had gone unnoticed for years. These findings led to improvements in how infrastructure in the region is monitored and cared for.
