Christ Church Cathedral, Grafton, Anglican cathedral in Grafton, Australia.

Christ Church Cathedral is an Anglican church in Grafton built from distinctive pink sandstock bricks that give it a warm, recognizable appearance. The structure showcases over 90 different decorative brickwork patterns throughout and features a striking double archway entrance on its western side.

Construction started in 1874 under architect John Horbury Hunt's design, with the first completed section dedicated in 1884. The building continued to grow over several decades, with final expansions finished in 1937.

The cathedral serves as the spiritual center for the Anglican community in the region and remains a focal point for major religious observances and celebrations. Generations of families have gathered here for worship and significant life moments that connect the local people.

The church stands at 14 Duke Street and welcomes visitors during regular hours, with guided tours available and regular prayer services held throughout the week. A bookshop and community shop on site offer browsing opportunities while you are there.

A stained glass window from 1896 created by the Sydney firm Lyon and Cottier sits above the high altar and represents quality craftsmanship from that era. This window is among the notable art pieces that draws the eye when entering the interior space.
