Named after Hannah Makepeace, who received the island from her employers Charles and Agnes Nicholson in 1924 for her dedicated service as housekeeper.
The island incorporates Balinese architectural elements throughout its buildings and gardens, with materials including teak, granite, and stone sourced directly from Indonesia.
The island accommodates 22 guests with access to a tennis court, theater, swimming pool, and indoor dining facilities, all managed by professional staff.
Virgin Group founder Richard Branson and Virgin Australia co-founder Brett Godfrey transformed this former Pig Island into an exclusive resort destination.
