Denigomodu District, Administrative district in western Nauru.
Denigomodu extends over an area of 1.18 square kilometers, making it the largest district by population on the Pacific island of Nauru.
The district became an administrative division in 1968 when Nauru gained independence and established its current governmental structure.
Denigomodu houses expatriate communities in The Location settlement, where both English and Nauruan languages are actively used in daily interactions.
The Republic of Nauru Hospital provides medical services to residents, while Nauru College offers education for students from grades seven through nine.
The district contains housing for phosphate mining workers, connecting directly to Nauru's primary economic activity through the Nauru Phosphate Corporation facilities.
