Brookside Golf Course, Municipal golf complex in Pasadena, California.
Brookside Golf Course is a 36-hole complex in Pasadena featuring two distinct courses, the C.W. Koiner Course and E.O. Nay Course, separated by the Arroyo Seco waterway. Each course offers its own routing and character within the larger property.
The complex was designed by architect William P. Bell in 1928 and became an established golf destination. A turning point came in 1968 when it hosted the Los Angeles Open on the PGA Tour.
The courses form part of the broader Arroyo Seco Natural Park and serve the community as a recreation hub for both sport and leisure. Local players return regularly to enjoy the mix of manicured greens and natural surroundings.
The facility provides practice areas including two putting greens, a chipping area, and a driving range for golfers of all levels. Professional instruction is available on-site through the golf academy.
During major events at the nearby Rose Bowl stadium, sections of the golf courses are temporarily converted into parking areas that accommodate thousands of vehicles. This flexible use shows how the facility serves multiple community needs beyond just golf.
