New City Residential, Residential skyscraper complex in Zona Rio, Tijuana, Mexico
New City Residential is a residential complex in Zona Rio made up of seven modern towers with glass curtain walls and varying heights. The towers form a unified residential block with designated entry points and shared outdoor spaces for residents.
Construction of the residential complex began in 2006, with Diamond Tower and Emerald Tower I completed in 2007. The project was developed as a larger expansion effort in a growing area of Tijuana.
The architectural design by Espazio Group combines Mexican architectural elements with international construction methods to serve the San Diego-Tijuana population.
The site is equipped with security gates and perimeter walls that restrict entry to residents and authorized visitors. Visitors should expect that only certain areas are publicly accessible.
Diamond Tower stands at 27 stories as the tallest building in the city and rises noticeably above the six other towers of the complex by roughly three stories. This height difference creates a distinctive skyline profile when viewing the project from a distance.
