South Coast Repertory

South Coast Repertory is a professional theatre company with three performance spaces of varying sizes. The largest stage seats over 500 people, while smaller rooms are used for more intimate productions.

The company was founded in 1964 by two graduates of San Francisco State University and began with a production of a French classic play. This beginning led to the growth of a significant regional theatre institution.

The Pacific Playwrights Festival brings together new theatrical works through staged readings and full productions each year. This event gives playwrights a chance to share their stories with an engaged audience.
