Concordia is a mountain municipality in southwestern Antioquia, Colombia, situated at approximately 2,400 meters (7,900 feet) elevation. The terrain across the region is varied, with paved roads connecting it to the department's main urban centers.
The settlement began in 1830 when Manuel Herrera established his residence in the Cabildio area. Official municipal status came decades later in 1908.
The municipality is deeply rooted in coffee cultivation, with many families engaged in growing and processing throughout the region. This agricultural tradition shapes the daily rhythms and social bonds of the community.
The municipality lies about 95 kilometers (59 miles) from Medellín and is accessible via well-maintained paved roads. Educational facilities, markets, and agricultural services are available within the town.
