Circuit of the Americas is a motorsport racing track in Austin that runs for 5513 meters and includes 20 turns. The course passes through significant elevation changes that bring energy to the entire facility.
The facility opened in 2012 as the first purpose-built Formula One racing track in the United States. Mario Andretti completed the first official laps on the new course.
The Germania Insurance Amphitheater on the grounds seats 14,000 people for concerts and festivals. Throughout the year, well-known musicians from different genres perform here.
The grounds offer multiple grandstands, shops, food areas, and an observation tower from which you can see the entire site. The walkways between the different zones are well marked and accessible.
The course climbs steeply uphill into the first turn with a rise of 41 meters (133 feet) at a 15-degree grade. This slope is specifically designed for overtaking maneuvers at the start of races.
