Praetorian Building, Insurance company building in downtown Waco, United States.
The seven-story Praetorian Building features gray granite foundation, terra-cotta details, large windows, and traditional Chicago architectural style at Franklin Avenue.
Completed in 1915, the structure housed the Modern Order of Praetorians insurance organization and multiple railroad companies on its upper floors.
The structure earned recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 and contributes to the Waco Downtown Historic District.
The building now contains a combination of residential apartments, retail spaces, and professional offices available for rent.
First State Bank occupied the ground floor from 1917 to 1933, establishing the building as one of Texas's most notable banking locations.
