It opened in 2002 as Ardmore Gaming and sits near the Ardmore Convention Center and Hardy Murphy Coliseum.

Gold Mountain Casino opened in 2002 as Ardmore Gaming, run by the Chickasaw Nation on the corner of P Street N.E. and Sam Noble Parkway. It grew steadily into a facility with more than 300 gaming machines. It sits about 34 miles north of WinStar World Casino and 77 miles south of Riverwind Casino, both also Chickasaw-owned.

Gold Mountain Casino is one of several gaming facilities the Chickasaw Nation owns in Oklahoma, alongside WinStar World Casino in Thackerville and Riverwind Casino in Norman. It opened in 2002 under the name Ardmore Gaming before taking the Gold Mountain name. The casino sits near the Ardmore Convention Center and the Hardy Murphy Coliseum, and its floor holds more than 300 gaming machines.
