Jefferson Davis Presidential Library and Museum

The Jefferson Davis Presidential Library and Museum displays artifacts, documents, and personal items related to the Confederate States of America president in a 24,000-square-foot facility.

Following severe damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the institution underwent extensive reconstruction with federal funding and reopened to visitors in 2013.

The research facility maintains records, photographs, and materials documenting the Confederate era through exhibits and educational programs for scholars and visitors.

Located at Beauvoir estate on Beach Boulevard, the museum welcomes visitors daily from 9 AM to 5 PM with admission fees ranging from free for children under 5 to 13 dollars for adults.

The museum houses a statue created by sculptor William Beckwith and features a permanent exhibition chronicling the life of Jefferson Davis.
