Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The building was constructed in 1902 to replace an earlier church from 1870 that was destroyed by fire. It gained cathedral status in 1977 when the Diocese of Biloxi was established.

The name refers to the birth of the Virgin Mary, which remains central to devotion here. German stained glass windows shape the interior and draw attention to various religious scenes.
