Biloxi Bay Bridge

The Biloxi Bay Bridge is a road bridge crossing the bay with six lanes for vehicle traffic and a wide roadway. A separate path runs along one side of the structure to accommodate pedestrians and cyclists alongside the moving vehicles.

The original bridge suffered severe damage during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and required complete reconstruction. The rebuilt structure was finished in late 2007 with reinforced design features to withstand future major storms.

The bridge links Biloxi and Ocean Springs, enabling daily movement between residents of these two Mississippi coastal towns. It serves as a vital crossing point where locals and visitors regularly interact through their journeys.

The bridge is easy to cross on foot or by bicycle thanks to the dedicated path on the Gulf side. Plan to cross during calmer weather and lighter traffic periods for a more pleasant experience.

The reconstruction project finished two months ahead of its original timeline, showcasing the efficiency of the region's recovery efforts. This ahead-of-schedule completion was a significant achievement for communities rebuilding from one of the most destructive storms in recent history.
