The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater stretches across 15 acres along the Black Warrior River, featuring a seating arrangement that accommodates 7,470 spectators for performances throughout the year.
Davis Architects designed this performance space, which opened on April 1, 2011, following a construction period that began in July 2009 with a budget of 14.9 million dollars.
The venue hosts the annual Celebration on the River event, where the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra performs during Independence Day celebrations for the local community.
Located minutes from the University of Alabama campus and downtown area, the amphitheater provides parking facilities and concession stands for concert attendees.
The amphitheater integrates the natural riverside setting into its design, making it the largest outdoor theater in West Alabama with modern performance capabilities.
