George P. Cossar State Park

George P. Cossar State Park extends along the shores of Enid Lake, offering 76 campsites, cabins, and multiple outdoor recreation areas across 6,100 acres.

The recreation area opened in 1966 as Yocona Ridge State Park before receiving its current name in 1979 to honor state legislator George Payne Cossar Sr.

The park attracts fishing enthusiasts throughout the year, with Enid Lake holding the world record for the largest crappie caught in 1954.

Visitors can access modern facilities including full hookup campsites, air-conditioned cabins, disc golf courses, and boat launching ramps from 8 AM to 5 PM daily.

The park features an 18-hole Eagle Crest disc golf course and three miles of nature trails winding through mixed pine and hardwood forests.
