Eyipantla Falls, 50-meter waterfall in San Andrés Tuxtla, Mexico.

Eyipantla Falls is a waterfall about 50 meters (164 ft) high and 40 meters (131 ft) wide, located near San Andrés Tuxtla in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. The water drops over a dark rock wall and produces a thick spray that keeps the surrounding area constantly damp.

The area around the falls has been inhabited by indigenous communities for centuries, who regarded the site as a place of spiritual importance. Over time, it became a known destination for visitors from the region while retaining its natural character.

The name Eyipantla comes from Nahuatl and roughly means 'three water streams', which reflects how people of the region once described what they saw here. Today, visitors from nearby towns come on weekends and gather near the base of the falls, making it a busy local gathering spot rather than a remote natural site.

Reaching the falls requires walking down a long stone staircase that leads to a viewing area near the base. Visiting on a weekday morning tends to be much quieter than coming on a weekend, when local families often gather in larger groups.

The falls were used as a filming location for Mexican telenovelas in the 1990s and early 2000s, making them one of the more recognizable natural backdrops in Mexican television. Some visitors come specifically because they recognize the spot from those productions.
