Cathedral of St. Joseph and St. Andrew, San Andrés Tuxtla

The Cathedral of St. Joseph and St. Andrew features two prominent Colonial-style towers and incorporates elements of Neoclassical architecture throughout its design.

The construction of this religious edifice extended from the late nineteenth century until 1950, when Bishop Jesús Villareal y Fierro consecrated the completed structure.

The cathedral interior houses the Chapel of the Holy Sacrament, containing the remains of Bishop Guillermo Ranzahuer González and serving the Roman Catholic Diocese.

The cathedral maintains regular mass schedules and welcomes visitors to explore its architectural features during daylight hours throughout the week.
