Peravia Province

Peravia Province lies in southern Dominican Republic, spanning both mountainous inland areas and coastal plains along the Caribbean. The landscape transitions from elevated terrain to flat sandy shores, creating diverse geography across the region.

The province was created as a separate administrative division in 1944. A major change occurred in 2002 when a neighboring area split off to establish its own province.
