State Theatre, Music venue and movie theater in downtown St. Petersburg, Florida

The State Theatre occupies a former bank building with three prominent bays defined by pilasters and an ionic capital at 687 Central Avenue.

Architect Neel Reid designed the Alexander National Bank in 1924, which transformed into the State Theatre under Archie Parrish's renovation in 1949.

The venue shifted from screening films to hosting musical performances, welcoming bands like They Might Be Giants, Fall Out Boy, and Tori Amos.

Following extensive renovations in 2020, the renamed Floridian Social Club accommodates 800 attendees with updated facilities and modern safety features.

The building features a symmetrical Beaux-Arts facade with a decorative bas-relief eagle positioned above its arched entrance.
