Century Tower, Bell tower at University of Florida, US
The 157-foot Century Tower contains 61 bells and stands as a central structure on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville.
The tower construction started in 1953 to mark the university's centennial and honor students who died during World Wars I and II.
The carillon bells ring twice daily during academic sessions, with students performing musical compositions from the Royal Dutch Bell Foundry collection.
Visitors can listen to carillon concerts from Monday through Friday between 12:35-12:50 PM and 4:55-5:10 PM during academic terms.
The largest bell in Century Tower measures five feet tall, weighs 7,000 pounds, and rings every hour on a low B-flat note.
