Sledd Hall

Sledd Hall is a residence building on the University of Florida campus featuring Gothic architectural elements with detailed stonework and vertical lines. The structure sits on the northern edge and was designed to provide direct access to academic buildings, dining facilities, and recreational spaces across the grounds.

The building was constructed in 1929 following architect Rudolph Weaver's design and received its name in 1939 to honor Andrew Sledd, the university's first president. This naming reflected the practice of commemorating key figures in the institution's founding and early leadership.
